About John McMenemy
John joined Carnicas in 2000 as a service technician after completing a 4-year mechanical engineering apprenticeship, during his apprenticeship he gained a Higher National Diploma in Mactronics. After working for 11 years as a service engineer John gained a wealth of experience in the animal by products industry.
John was appointed Managing Director in 2011 and is responsible for the growing and expanding the business.
About Roy McMenemy
In 1958 Roy started an apprenticeship in Mechanical Engineering and completed this by 1963. Roy continued with higher level education by completing a Higher National Certificate in Mechanical Engineering.
Over the years Roy has worked in many Engineering Companies gaining a plethora of experience which led him to starting Carnicas Ireland Ltd in 1985. Roy has been in the business for 50 years and has over 60 years’ experience.

About Martin McMenemy
Martin has been with Carnicas for 16 years having previously lectured for 28 years in Electrical Engineering and PLC / Computer control a† BIFHE. His main qualification is an MSc obtained from QUB in 1986 specialising in microprocessor design, applications and computer control.
His main focus is on process design, optimisation and equipment specification / supply for the animal by-products, food waste, used cooking oil recovery and other industrial applications of centrifugal separation equipment supplied by Flottweg (Germany) and rendering equipment supplied by Oestergaard (Denmark).
About Michael Scullin
Michael qualified with a Mechanical Engineering MEng degree from Queen’s University Belfast in. Michael joined Carnicas in April 2024 as a Technical Engineer, involved mainly with sales and commissioning.
On occasions Michael will support the service department with aftersales and servicing.

About Joshua McClure Dazell
Joshua joined Carnicas Ireland Ltd in early June 2023 as a Junior Engineer , shortly after completing his Higher National Diploma (HND) in Electrical and Electronic Engineering.
Joshua’s primary role at Carnicas Ireland Ltd as a Junior Service Engineer, is machine maintenance, commissioning and processing spare part enquiries.
About Clair McMenemy
Clair joined Carnicas on a full-time basis in June 2024.
Clair’s role is supporting the team on a day-to-day basis, assisting and maintaining the Health and Safety systems, HR support, dealing with the office accounts. Clair has been instrumental in gaining our safe contractor accreditation.
Clair has started to elevate and drive the business through the launch off the website in 2025.
